It was a long day (up and out by 6:30-much to Caitlin’s dismay), but we arrived in Oaks/Audubon/Norristown, PA around 9:00 tonight. There are so many small towns around here that I’m not even sure what town we are in, but they are all near Philadelphia. The drive through Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley was beautiful. Everything was so lush and green. Tomorrow is set-up day and the best news – it’s going to be in the 60’s. Yay, cool weather. I am really going to enjoy that!
Tomorrow I will also set up my sewing machine and get back to some sewing. I’m in the middle of the baby quilt from Paula’s new collection, Sophie and Friends and we’re waiting on some samples from her other new collections to arrive. The quilts are planned and now we just need the fabric and some sewing time. The show (Pennsylvania Quilt Extravaganza, not the name I managed to make up last night) starts Thursday. Hopefully we’ll get to see some of you there.
Hope you all started ordering your blocks for the Web Sampler Celebration. Aren’t those finishing kits just beautiful? I’m glad I don’t have to choose one. (Don’t worry I would still choose ours, but the others are beautiful too.)
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Patrick Swayze. His death is a loss for all generations.
Good night and happy quilting.
